My mother died in 2001 from a heart attack. She was only 63 years old. It was her first heart attack. Heart disease can be hereditary; it does run in my family. I've lost my mother, my grandfather and a 35 year old cousin to this insidious disease. I miss her every day. I wish she had taken care of her heart, so she could still be here. Learn more now to recognize and reduce your risks. Don't put it off. Encourage those you love to learn about their risks and see a doctor.
